The Evolution of the MINI Cooper | JCW Rear Rotor

In order to purchase new replacement rotors for your MINI Cooper JCW, you must measure your existing rotors outside diameter to ensure you purchase the correct replacement rotor your MINI. There are many techniques to accurately measure the outside diameter of your rotor. An easy method is to take two 12" flat rulers, slide thru an opening in the spokes of your wheel to the top of the rotor, do the same and hold the other on the bottom of your rotor. Have a second person measure the distance between the two rulers with a tape measure, this is your rotor diameter. You must have this measurement before going any further. Brake Pad Wear Sensor

OEM Style Replacement Brake Pad Wear Sensors (Indicators) are direct replacements for the original equipment sensor. If your brake wear indicator light is 'on', these replacement wear sensors will do the trick. Many European cars like Audi, BMW, Mercedes, MINI, Porsche and VW require these sensors. Many performance and replacement brake pads do not come with these sensors so be prepared when you do your next brake pad change and have these handy! The brake pad sensor is located on the right rear wheel. One rear sensor is needed per car.

While slotted rotors may look cool, the real advantage of slotted rotors is an increase in braking power, in many cases up to 15-20 percent. Often slotted rotors have a higher resistance to brake judder, an increased cooling affect and a higher operating friction level. Sounds great right? Unfortunately, all this magic comes with a price. Slotted rotors are more expensive to build due to the precision machining required which translates to a higher price tag. Also, slotted rotors have a tendency to be noisier during braking and will often wear through brake pads at a faster pace than solid faced rotors. In an effort to eliminate the negatives and accentuate the positives of slotted rotors, DBA offers our new T3 slot design that addresses a few of these problems. The T3 slot design has a gradual overlapping curved design that is significantly quieter than straight slots virtually eliminating their inherent whirring noise during braking.
